Empowering VET Learners with Cybersecurity Expertise. Piloting Workshop in Patras, Greece.

Our project recently achieved a significant milestone, and VET learners were at the heart of it. Following a successful pilot event at the MELLON Language Center in Patras, Greece, organized by our Greek partners, p-consulting.gr, the project is now one step closer to equipping VET learners with essential cybersecurity knowledge and skills.

Why is This So Crucial for VET learners?

Vocational Education and Training (VET) learners are the future workforce. In an increasingly digital world, being digitally literate is no longer optional; it’s a prerequisite. The AWARE project recognizes this urgency and aims to bridge the gap by preparing VET learners to excel in their careers while staying safe in the digital landscape.

Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are encountering an escalating threat from cyberattacks, and it’s crucial to address this issue. Interestingly, these SMEs constitute nearly 100% of all businesses in the EU. Safeguarding them in the digital domain holds significant importance. However, that’s not the only aspect to consider.

Have you ever come across the idea that young individuals are inadequately prepared for the workforce? It might not be the most motivating notion. That’s where the AWARE project intervenes. Its purpose is to ensure that VET learners, upon completing their VET program, they are more than well-equipped to excel in the job market. Moreover, it extends beyond just employment; it aims to protect them, their friends, and families while using the internet.
